The honour of lifting the one-thousandth cargo of crude from Draugen fell to shuttle tanker Grena in 2013, when it loaded 827 530 barrels on the field.

At an oil price of just over USD 100 per barrel, this represented a valuable consignment worth almost NOK 500 million.

The crude was discharged at Kalundborg in Denmark for transfer to a refinery where it was processed into such products as petrol, aviation fuel, diesel oil, propane, heating oil and fuel oil.
